INACON and its JV Member (SEI & KWK) will carry out a 36-month consulting services for a construction works of the existing Laga to Baguia Road Section from STA 0+000 to STA 38+030 in Timor Leste. The objective of the assignment is to supervise the implementation of the construction works of the roads by specifically providing assistance to the National Directorate of the Directorate of Roads, Bridges, and Flood Control (DRBFC) at the Ministry of Public Works. Roads are the primary modes of transportation in Timor Leste. Based on the 2015 survey, 13 percent of rural roads were rated good, 30 percent fair, 44 percent poor, and 13 percent very poor. At the end of the project, the rehabilitated road will connect potentially promising agricultural areas and new oil industry-related development along the southern coast to the main population and more developed areas along the northern coast. To commence the project this year, on Monday, October 24th, 2022, representatives of INACON, SEI, and KWK were invited to attend a contract negotiation at the Office of the National Procurement Commission located at Avenida de Balide in Dili city, Timor Leste. The negotiation went successfully and the mobilization of experts will be done in timely manner.
